El Diablo de Shanghai return home with a new album under their arm. Following the momentum of ‘113 Pasos Adelante en el Ensanche’ (2023), the Barcelona-based quintet present ‘Testamento’ (2026), their second work, a rawer, more direct and considerably less innocent record.
With this new album, the band leaves behind any trace of idealised youth to embrace a more uncomfortable stage: growing up, questioning everything, and accepting that adulthood is not exactly what it promised to be. The new songs sound more powerful and mature, with an instrumental ambition that expands their universe without losing the edge and energy that define them.
Produced by Sergio Maschetzko (Black Country, New Road, black midi), ‘Testamento’ captures a moment of vital and musical change for the band, with an energy that demands to be experienced live.
El Diablo de Shanghai will bring this new repertoire to the stage at Razzmatazz in a night that promises intensity, emotion and, quite possibly, a collective catharsis.
